Turning back the years (internally)

These are part of my notes from a workshop by Carla Greene at the 2012 Young Living Essential Oils convention.

For the aging process, it is 80% lifestyle and 20% genetics. Did you know that diet and smoking are equal causes of getting cancer?

Proper nutrition can prevent genes from expressing itself (meaning, can prevent a bad gene).  A lot of us are over fed and under nourished.  The soil nowadays is depleted and doesn’t transfer all of the nutrients.  Our food today has fewer nutrients than the food we had 100 years ago.  If supplements don’t have good binders, it goes out in our pee.  Make sure that the supplements are from a whole food source or your body may not be able to absorb all of the vitamins and minerals.  Think of supplements as insurance. 

How can essential oils help us?
-    Can deliver therapeutic effects
-    Deliver nutrients
-    Preserve well-being
-    Sustain a healthy immune system

Did you know that the root cause of the majority of chronic health conditions is inflammation?
Did you know that free radicals speed up the aging process and that enzymes can slow it down?


How can some of these supplements with essential oils help us?

-    Omega Blue – fish oil (omega 3 fatty acids)
       o    Can reduce wrinkles
       o    Reduce inflammation
       o    Helps cell wall to be healthy
-    Ningxia Red – whole food antioxidant drink
       o    When choosing a super fruit drink, don’t choose one with junk juices like pear, apple, and grape as it raises the glycemic index (high sugar spikes causes wrinkles).
       o    Kills free radicals
-    Essentialzyme-4 - enzymes
       o    When you are 20 years old, you have 98% of your enzymes.  When you are 40, you have 75%.  And when you are 70, you have 33%.  Most of us have an enzyme deficiency.  It will take us 2-3 years to build up our reserves.
       o    Decreases swelling and inflammation
       o    Restores blood circulation
       o    Improves the removal of waste products

Why put essential oils in supplements?  The results are 1/3 faster than a high quality supplement and within a month you will know the difference.  After 3 months, you will see more of a difference with your energy level, movements (less stiff joints), emotional well-being, and bowel movements.

Youth Stealers – 6 Theories of Aging

These are the notes that I took at a workshop from Dr. Sabina DeVita at the 2012 Young Living Essential Oils convention.

Youth Stealers – 6 Theories of Aging
1.    Free Radicals – 10,000 hits per day
2.    Methylation – the maintenance and repair of a cell’s damaged DNA and prevents age-related disease
3.    Inflammation – invites lines and wrinkles
4.    Glycosylation – caused by too much sugar and makes skin stiff and inflexible causing wrinkles
5.    Telemeres – it protects DNA during cell division and each time it gets shorter and causes aging
6.    Stress – toxic emotions, it raises cortisol levels (aging) and decreases DHEA production (youth hormone). 

- Did you know that the American Medical Association reports that nearly 80% of diseases are stress-related?
- Did you know that our bodies process 90% of these stressors unconsciously? 
- Did you know that we are exposed to 200 million times more EM fields in our environment today than our ancestors?


One of the culprits of stress to our bodies is Electromagnetic Pollution (EMF) which is the greatest stressor and the #1 pollutant.  There is DNA destruction from cell phone usage.  Cell phone radiation is a class B carcinogen by World Health Organization.   The parotid gland is close to your cheek, where we usually hold our cell phones and we could get parotid cancer. 

How can essential oils help us?  Essential oils have a bio-electrical frequency that is several times greater than the frequency of herbs, food, and the human body.  If we can keep the body frequency high enough and well oxygenated, we will be free of disease.  Essential oils may not always prevent our frequencies from dropping, but they will assist the body in returning to its optimal frequency faster.  Individuals using essential oils have a 60% greater resistance to sickness and may recover 70 percent faster from illness.

For example, the normal range of our bodies is between 62-68MHz.  If you hold a cup of coffee for 3 seconds, our body’s frequency goes down to 58MHz.  If you take a sip of coffee, it will bring it down to 52MHz.  If you remove the coffee and smell an essential oil, it will take 21 seconds for our bodies to go back to normal, but if you didn’t use an essential oil, it will take 3 days to go back to normal.

What other things should we do to look and feel youthful? 
1.    Shift your viewpoint/belief system and stay positive
2.    Avoid harmful substances that will disrupt your hormone balance
3.    Feed your body well with organic foods
4.    Use essential oils on your body, especially your pineal-pituitary gland.

Pineal gland is the anti-aging gland.  Most of us have a pineal deficiency.  EMF’s, heavy metals, chemicals, and mercury fill up our pineal gland and then we have a decrease in intuition.

How should we use the oils?  Rub any of the following oils over the third eye and back of neck: sandalwood, lavender, sacred frankincense, highest potential blend, Idaho balsam fir, Myrrh, Idaho blue spruce, pine, and cedarwood.  Or, you can diffuse the oils.
